Hi! I’m Jorrie.
I enjoy making people laugh. Finding the humor in a tough situation is how I cope. I would describe parenting as a tough situation.
I write about the reality of parenting, because I’ve learned parenting requires both laughing and crying to survive. Sometimes simultaneously.
I’m notorious for laughing at my own jokes.
If I had three wishes, I would get rid of hate, ignorance, and calories.
I love coffee, tacos, Target, Food Network, and HGTV. (I know, I’m pathetically basic.)
Wit and sarcasm are my preferred forms of communication, and I laugh when I’m uncomfortable. Some people might call that awkwardness, and that would also be accurate.
I’m a registered nurse by day and finder of lost things by night. I have one husband and two kids, and I’d fight bear with a plastic spoon for any of them. They are the peanut butter to my jelly. Mostly, they just break my things and complain about my cooking, but I’d be lost without them.
